4th July Rice Krispie Bars (Printer-Friendly Version)

Chewy bars with marshmallows, cereal, and red, white, blue decorations, perfect for summer celebrations.

# What You'll Need:

→ Base

01 - 1 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
02 - 5 ounces marshmallows
03 - 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal

→ Decorations

04 - Red candy melts, 1 handful
05 - Blue candy melts, 1 handful
06 - White chocolate, roughly chopped, 1 handful
07 - Red, white, and blue sprinkles, quantity as desired

→ Preparation

08 - Non-stick cooking spray

# Steps to Follow:

01 - In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
02 - Add the marshmallows to the melted butter and stir continuously until fully dissolved and smooth.
03 - Remove the saucepan from heat and fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
04 - Spray a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Transfer the mixture into the dish and press evenly with a rubber spatula.
05 - While the mixture is still warm, distribute the red, white, and blue sprinkles evenly across the surface and gently press them in.
06 - Allow the mixture to cool completely, then use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out individual treats.
07 - Melt the red and blue candy melts along with the white chocolate in the microwave at 50% power, stirring every 30 seconds until mostly melted.
08 - Drizzle the melted candy melts and white chocolate over the star-shaped treats using a piping bag or a sandwich bag with a small corner cut off.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Press the cereal mixture using wax paper sprayed with cooking spray to avoid sticking.
02 - Adjust the number of treats based on the size of your cookie cutter.
