Baked Brie Phyllo Appetizer (Printer-Friendly Version)

Flaky phyllo enveloping creamy Brie with a touch of honey for a quick, elegant appetizer.

# What You'll Need:

→ Baking

01 - 1 (16 oz) wheel Brie cheese
02 - 6 sheets phyllo dough, thawed
03 - 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
04 - 2 tablespoons honey

→ Toppings

05 - 2 tablespoons honey

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Unroll thawed phyllo sheets and cover with a lightly damp towel to prevent drying.
02 - Lay one phyllo sheet on a work surface and brush generously with melted butter. Repeat layering and buttering with remaining sheets, slightly angling each layer to build flakiness.
03 - Place the Brie cheese wheel in the center of the layered phyllo. Drizzle 2 tablespoons honey over the Brie. Carefully fold and pleat phyllo edges around cheese to form a sealed parcel. Brush entire exterior with melted butter.
04 - Transfer parcel seam-side up onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 to 30 minutes until phyllo is crisp and golden brown.
05 - Allow baked Brie to rest 5 to 10 minutes to set. Transfer to serving platter and drizzle with remaining 2 tablespoons honey before serving with crackers or fruit.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Keep phyllo covered with a damp towel to prevent it from drying out. Work quickly when layering sheets.
02 - Let baked Brie rest before slicing to maintain a smooth molten center.
03 - Use parchment paper under the parcel to catch any drips and facilitate cleanup.
