# What You'll Need:

→ Protein

01 - 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 pounds)

→ Seasonings

02 - Salt, to taste
03 - Black pepper, to taste
04 - 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs

→ Sauce

05 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
06 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
07 - 1 cup chicken broth
08 - 1 cup heavy cream
09 - 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
10 - 1 lemon, juiced and zested

→ Garnish

11 - Chopped fresh parsley (optional)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Season the chicken breasts evenly with salt and black pepper on both sides.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken breasts for 6 to 7 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from skillet and set aside.
03 - Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for approximately 30 seconds until fragrant.
04 - Pour in chicken broth, scraping the skillet bottom to lift browned bits, and simmer for 2 minutes.
05 - Whisk in heavy cream, grated Parmesan, lemon juice, lemon zest, and dried Italian herbs until the cheese is fully melted and sauce is smooth.
06 - Return chicken breasts to the skillet, spoon sauce over them, and allow to simmer gently for 3 to 4 minutes to meld flavors.
07 - Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving if desired.

# Additional Tips:

01 - For best results, let cooked chicken rest for a few minutes before serving to retain juiciness.
