In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Add eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract, stirring until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese with sugar until creamy. Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract. Add orange food coloring a few drops at a time, mixing to achieve the desired color.

Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Spoon dollops of the cream cheese mixture over the batter. Gently swirl the mixtures together using a knife or skewer. Carefully pour the remaining brownie batter on top and spread evenly.

Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before slicing into 16 squares.
