# What You'll Need:

→ Brownie Base

01 - 1 cup granulated sugar
02 - ½ cup all-purpose flour
03 - ½ cup dark cocoa powder
04 - ½ teaspoon salt
05 - ¼ teaspoon baking powder
06 - 2 large eggs
07 - ⅓ cup vegetable oil
08 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

→ Cream Cheese Swirl

09 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened
10 - ¼ cup granulated sugar
11 - 1 large egg
12 - ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
13 - Orange food coloring, to desired hue

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving edges to lift the brownies after baking.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Add eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract, stirring until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
03 - In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese with sugar until creamy. Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract. Add orange food coloring a few drops at a time, mixing to achieve the desired color.
04 - Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Spoon dollops of the cream cheese mixture over the batter. Gently swirl the mixtures together using a knife or skewer. Carefully pour the remaining brownie batter on top and spread evenly.
05 - Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before slicing into 16 squares.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Using softened cream cheese ensures a smooth and easily swirlable filling.
02 - Avoid overmixing the batter to maintain a tender crumb.
