Hot dogs wrapped in crescent (Printer-Friendly Version)

Golden crescent rolls with juicy hot dogs, simple to prepare and ideal for snacks or party bites.

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 8 hot dogs (regular size or cocktail wieners)
02 - 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 triangles)

→ Egg Wash

03 - 1 large egg, beaten

→ Seasonings (optional)

04 - Sea salt flakes
05 - Everything bagel seasoning
06 - Sesame seeds
07 - Garlic powder
08 - Grated parmesan cheese

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Set the oven to 375°F (190°C).
02 - Open the crescent roll package and separate the dough along perforated lines into 8 triangles.
03 - If using extra-large hot dogs, cut each into 2-3 inch segments. For cocktail wieners, cut each dough triangle into thirds to create smaller triangles.
04 - Place a hot dog or segment on the wide end of a dough triangle. Roll the dough around the hot dog, tucking in loose edges to seal.
05 - Brush each wrapped hot dog with beaten egg. Sprinkle with desired seasonings such as sea salt flakes or everything bagel seasoning.
06 - Place the wrapped hot dogs on a parchment-lined or lightly greased baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes until crescent dough is golden brown and hot dogs are heated through. For extra-large hot dogs, bake 15-19 minutes.
07 - Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving with dipping sauces like ketchup, mustard, or cheese sauce.

# Additional Tips:

01 - For a crispier crust, ensure dough edges are well sealed. Use an egg wash to promote browning and help seasonings adhere.
02 - Pigs in a Blanket can be prepared ahead and refrigerated unbaked for up to 24 hours. Brush with egg wash just before baking.
