Open the crescent roll package and separate the dough along perforated lines into 8 triangles.

If using extra-large hot dogs, cut each into 2-3 inch segments. For cocktail wieners, cut each dough triangle into thirds to create smaller triangles.

Place a hot dog or segment on the wide end of a dough triangle. Roll the dough around the hot dog, tucking in loose edges to seal.

Brush each wrapped hot dog with beaten egg. Sprinkle with desired seasonings such as sea salt flakes or everything bagel seasoning.

Place the wrapped hot dogs on a parchment-lined or lightly greased baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes until crescent dough is golden brown and hot dogs are heated through. For extra-large hot dogs, bake 15-19 minutes.
