Pizza Wheels with Pepperoni (Printer-Friendly Version)

Bite-sized pizza wheels filled with pepperoni, Parmesan, and served with a savory marinara dipping sauce.

# What You'll Need:

→ Dough

01 - 1 ball of pizza dough (approx. 250 g/9 oz)

→ Toppings

02 - 1/2 cup marinara sauce (120 ml/4 fl oz)
03 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (113 g/4 oz)
04 - 20 slices pepperoni (approx. 60 g/2 oz)
05 - 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (10 g/0.35 oz)
06 - 1 tablespoon cornmeal (8 g/0.28 oz), for dusting

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Roll pizza dough into a 9 x 12 inch (23 x 30 cm) rectangular sheet on a surface dusted with cornmeal to prevent sticking.
02 - Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border along the edges. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then distribute pepperoni slices uniformly on top.
03 - Carefully roll the dough lengthwise into a tight log, ensuring the filling stays inside. Pinch edges to seal.
04 - Using a sharp knife, slice the log into 1-inch (2.5 cm) thick rounds, creating individual pizza wheels.
05 - Place the pizza wheels cut side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle grated Parmesan over each piece. Bake in a preheated oven at 204°C (400°F) for 12-15 minutes or until golden and crispy.
06 - Remove from oven and serve warm alongside additional marinara sauce for dipping.

# Additional Tips:

01 - For a crispier crust, dust the baking surface with cornmeal before arranging pizza wheels.
02 - These can be made ahead and stored covered in the refrigerator up to two days or frozen up to three months.
